Animania Festival will this year feature not one band, but two!
Visitors can expect to hear the awesome rock sound of local J-Rock band, Argent la Rosa, and the edgy, alternative pop talent of Triple J Unearthed winner, Yunyu. Both will be performing LIVE during the Animania Festival weekend.
Read more details about these bands below.
Argent la Rosa are Sydney's very own up and coming local J-Rock talents. Claiming Dir en Grey, L'arc en Ciel, Slipknot and NIN just as a few of their varied musical influences, the band have created their own awesome rock sound - thrashing, hard and with a lot of J-edge that's sure to earn some fangirl squeals.
Featuring some covers you may recognise and some originals of their own, we are expecting the band to ROCK YOUR SOCKS OFF. Visit the Main Stage on Saturday afternoon after WCS to hear for yourself!

You might have heard her music subliminally playing in pop culture conventions for a few years now. Mentioned in blogs of bestselling authors like Neil Gaiman (Sandman) and Warren Ellis (Transmetropolitan), Yunyu's music is quirky deadly. This year, Animania invites Yunyu and her band into their folds where they will be playing a mixture of their originals and anime covers.
