Duel Artists

Duel Artist is back again for Animania Festival Weekend 2008!

And yet again, we've searched high and low to find reknowned artists who will be battling it out with the average joe in this year's Duel Artist! ...And yes, ok maybe we may have just camped out front of the another, larger art supply store... but still! Don't be fooled! This year's Duel Artists are of such high calibre that we are sure we'll present an art competition that will blow your mind!!

Last year's competition brought forward some amazing talent - just check out some of the artworks created (right), some in under 30 minutes! In the competition this year, the format has been revamped and artists will not only go head to head with selected Challengers, but also with one another to show off their skills, their supremacy and why they are to the ones to be challenged.

In 2008, who will be crowned the Champions?!?! Reputations will be at stake, fame to be gained. One shall win - who will it be? Find out at the Animania Festival Weekend!

Entering the Duel Artist Challenge

Do you think you have what it takes to go up against our Supreme Duel Artists?

For those budding artists wanting to be a Challenger, you can either pre-register or sign up on the day of the event. 6 on-the-day Challengers will be selected.

If you would like to participate in the event please speak to Staff in the Art Area. They will conduct a small trial tests and see if your skills are good enough to show off on stage. As a requirement they will only allow you to draw in markers/felt tip pens/texters as this will be only used in the main event. You will need to able to draw under pressure, draw fast, and still make a great artwork.
