Animania's largest event - the Animania Festival Weekend - is getting ready to land!
From screenings to karaoke, art workshops to video games, panels to crazy stage shows, the 2009 Animania Festival Weekend is set to be an awesome event for fans of all ages! There'll also be plenty of interactive mini-games, cosplay games, dance classes, and stallholders to tempt you with plushies, figurines and more! Plus, the yummy Food Fair will be back too.
Fans can also expect to see some fantastic costumes to hit the Main Stage with a double-hit of cosplay: the Animania Festival Cosplay Competition and the 2009/2010 World Cosplay Summit Australian Preliminary. The winners of the WCS Preliminary will head to Japan in 2010 to compete in the World Cosplay Summit in Nagoya, Japan!
With a great new layout and a host of new events and competitions, this mega event will bring fans all the classic Weekend events and more.

Situated just on the edge of the Sydney CBD, the Australian Technology Park is directly adjacent to Redfern Station and easily accessible by public transport. For those driving, parking is available on site at a reasonable daily rate.

By Car
If you are planning to drive in to visit the Animania Festival, parking is available on site at a reasonable daily rate. The entrance to the Australian Technology Park car park is located on Garden Street. Taxis, deliveries and coaches should enter Australian Technology Park from the corner of Garden and Boundary Street.
A "Pay and Walk" ticketing system is installed in this car park - simply collect a ticket from the boom gate and park your car in the designated areas. Prior to leaving the ATP please ensure your parking has been paid and validated at any of the ticket pay stations. The most convenient located will be Bay 8 - Locomotive Workshop.

Street parking is also available in close vicinity to the venue.
By Public Transport
By rail, alight at Redfern Station. There is a special exit directly into Australian Technology from Platform 10. Redfern Station is a convergence station for much of the Cityrail network and trains arrive frequently.Directions From Redfern Station: Exit via Platform 10 at Redfern Station. Walk past the WaterTower apartment block and follow the walkway through to the Australian Technology Park. Pedestrian entry points to the Locomotive Workshops are made through Bays 1 and 8 (Registration Area will be setup in this area). There will be signage onsite during the day to faciliate directions.
There are also frequent bus services to the Australian Technology Park from the Sydney CBD, the Railway Square interchange and from Sydney's domestic / international airport. The bus stop closest to the Australian Technology Park is located on Boundary Street.
