Animania Sydney is Upon Us!

Only 2 days until Animania Sydney!

The Sydney WCS Preselection Round is destined to be fantastic and the general Cosplay Competition is bound to be just a bit more awesome in our new March venue.

TICKETS EXTENDED: though advance tickets were due to close Wednesday, since this newsletter was running a bit late we've thrown in an extra day so you have until 8pm Thursday 18 March to get your last minute tix. Door tickets will be available on Saturday.

World Cosplay Summit - Brisbane Preselection

The coming event in May is the last chance to qualify for the World Cosplay Summit Preslection Finals. Period.

To register for WCS Brisbane Preselection you must submit a portfolio by 9 April. Don't leave it to the last minute!

Registration for the classic Cosplay Competition is also open, checkout the rules and register online.

Hymn to Beauty - The Art Of Utamaro

Experience the sensuous and provocative art of master ukiyo-e print designer, Kitagawa Utamaro, in the first exhibition of his works in Australia. Best known for his insightful portraits of women - from courtesans of the pleasure districts of Edo, to diligent housewives - and star-crossed lovers, this is a rare opportunity to see Utamaro's works in Sydney. This significant exhibition features over 80 prints by Utamaro and his followers. On now at the Art Gallery of New South Wales.

For your chance to win a double pass to the exhibition, in 25 words or less, describe who you would like to see as Utamaro print and why. You can choose any real person or fictional character. Sydney Collector's Fair - Sunday 21 March

A fun mini armageddon day for fans. Featuring Cosplay, Comics, Gaming, and international celebrity guests from Star Trek Enterprise, Doctor Who, Naruto and Farscape and more!

Check out these trading card tournaments to be held at the event, including Pokemon TCG State Championships, Yu-Gi-Oh, Magic: The Gathering, Star Trek 2.0 TCG and Heroclix figure gaming.

While not planned as a full expo event, this is a taster event for Sydney that we are sure you will enjoy
