Rica Matsumoto is Animania Festival's Guest of Honour. She is a voice actress (Seiyuu) and singer, well known for being the voice of Satoshi (Ash Ketchum) and singer of the opening themes from Pokemon.
Matsumoto-san will be giving a special performance for signing throughout the day.
Note: Rica Matsumoto will only be appearing on Sunday, so make sure you have a Sunday ticket, or better yet get a Weekend Pass!

Maid-style cafes or cosplay restaurants are increasingly popular in Japan. These unique cafes feature costumed waitstaff, often as maids or butlers, who provide homely service and attention for the customer.

In its second year as a stand-alone festival, the Sydney International Animation Festival returns to the University of Technology, Sydney on the 24 to 26 September 2010.
UTS: SIAF 2010 will feature international guests and the "best of the best" in short animations from around the globe. It will also play host to the very first UTS: SIAF Symposium and the Festival TEEN JURY, as well as, finalists from the SIXTY40 Proto-ninja Nationwide Animation Competition.
Highlights from this year's festival include Wadu Matyidi (Indigenous Animation), nominated for three ATOM Awards, including Best Animation and The Man in the Blue Gordini, winner of two Annecy Awards.
Other rare treats include Mathieu Bergeron and Yves Martel's documentary, A Thorn in the Mind, festival favourite Late Night Bizarre and Craftwork, a simplified approach to animation which utilises a homemade diy aesthetic, which is stitched, knitted, collaged, stuck and folded together.
