Cafe Luciole (Maid Cafe)

Cafe Luciole is Animania Festival's very first Maid Cafe and we invite you to be our very special guests!

Maid-style cafes and restaurants where maids and butlers (dressed in the fashion) wait on customers with old-world service are increasingly popular in Japan. These cafes provide an atmosphere that focuses on classic beauty and refined hospitality, creating a unique experience for the customer.

With sweet desserts, lovely maids and a fairy-lit backdrop, Cafe Luciole (French for 'firefly') will provide a special retreat for visitors of the Festival. Recharge with a cup of tea and some cake before heading back into the excitement of the day!

Limited seating times and packages available so make sure to visit the Cafe early to book a seating time!
 

 

When visiting Cafe Luciole, please note:

• The Cafe will operate on Time Based Seatings, where your stay is limited to a set time determined by the level of service/package purchased.

• No matter how much you spend, you can expect wonderful service from our maids as you are our special guests!

• No photography will be allowed in Cafe Luciole unless a photo token has been pre-purchased ($5, on your own camera). Personalised polaroid photos will also be available for purchase ($10).

Cafe Luciole will offer a simple (but decadent!) range of cakes, teas and juice. Please visit the Cafe at the Festival for more details.

General Table Service (20mins)

Cost: $9 minimum spend per person on either food, drinks, games or photos. 

Special Guest Package (40mins)

Cost: $35 per person, includes

• an extended seating time of 40 minutes in a special section of Café Luciole,
• Tea Spread: 2 x delicious desserts of your choice (per person) with special personalised touches by your maid and a pot of tea
• Photos: 1 x photo token per person PLUS 1 x personalised polaroid per table
• Games: Play a round or two of a card/board game of your choice (as available) with your maid!

Cafe Etiquette

Cafe Luciole will offer a special retreat for Festival visitors to enjoy a cup of tea and sweets. As a Maid Cafe, the waitstaff will be dressed in classic maid attire and treat visitors to genteel homely service. 

To ensure the enjoyment of all Animania Festival visitors, we ask that all guests to Cafe Luciole note the following Cafe etiquette:

• All attendees visiting Cafe Luciole must adhere to the code of conduct as outlined in the Terms and Conditions for General Public.
• Please treat your maids with the same kindness and respect they show you. 
• Even with pre-purchased tokens, it is polite to seek permission before taking photos of your maids. Maids and Animania Staff reserve the right to check any cameras/photos taken and request deletion of any unsolicited photos.
• Please assist our maids and volunteers by respecting the time limits. This will ensure everyone will get to enjoy the Cafe.
• Cafe Luciole is a PG area. While there may be ill-informed preconceptions of maid cafes, Cafe Luciole primarily provides classic wait service of food and drinks only.
• Any unsolicited physical contact, harassment or photography of Cafe Luciole waitstaff or Animania Festival Staff may result in immediate removal from the Cafe without refund of monies paid.

Animania Festival reserves the right to ask visitors to leave the Festival if they do not follow the Cafe etiquette as listed above.
