| 5.00PM - 5.30PM | Pepakura – Japanese Paper Models. Turning 3D models into paper sculptures with Zerebin It is a very popular hobby in both Japan and many other countries. Pepakura is a PC program which can turn 3d models into paper sculptures. Not only can you make scale model, people now often use it to create cosplays and full size items. Zerebin will be coming down from Brisbane and showing off how the program works, and what you can do with it, from the 3d model, to the cutting, folding and building of the model. |
| 11:00AM - 11.30AM | Taking Props to the Next Level with Ameno Kitarou (Will) The simplest technique can make the difference. When it comes to prop making, there are countless of different ways to achieve what you want, but sometimes the tiniest touch can give your prop the extra level of sophistication and realism. This 30 minute panel is for those interested in prop making of all levels. Ameno Kitarou will be showing you a diverse range of materials, glue and paints, as well as share a number of techniques in building and painting which will help you take the finished result of your prop to a new level. There will be a generous question time for you to brainstorm some ideas for projects that might be giving you a headache. So come along and be equipped with questions! |
| 11:30AM - 12.00PM | Cosplay Photography with KrisEz and Beethy Beethy and Kris will be talking about their experiences in cosplay photography, organisation behind photoshoots, copyright and privacy issues, and dealing with cosplayers. They disagree greatly about how to take great photos, and what exactly makes it happen. It often degenerates into a slap-fight, so come and cheer them on. Questions will be answered, especially the well thought out trolling ones. |
| 4:00PM - 4.30PM | Cosplay Tips & Tricks with SeishinKibou This talk will feature help and advice for beginner to novice cosplayers on cosplay construction, tips on surviving a day at a con in costume, and other useful advice to help the everyday cosplayer. |
