The Main Stage will be home to the Animania Festival's largest and most visually spectacular events as well as the quirky and comical.

After a long year of pre-selection rounds in Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, the eight finalist teams will compete on the Main Stage for the title of Team Australia 2011.
Join us as we showcase Australia's finest and reveal the winners of the World Cosplay Summit.

This new segment will feature 2 performances from Guest Cosplayers. The first performance will be from WCS Team Singapore 2009, Jill Ho and Andrea Tan, and the second from WCS Team Australia 2009, Tsubaki-chan and WCS 2009 finalist Ameno Kitarou (Will).

Where else but Main Stage would you find Cosplay? Cosplay once again finds its home under a brilliant array of theatrical lighting, sound and vision that is the Main Stage.

Team Australia 2010 are be back from Japan, with a suitcase full of stories to tell about World Cosplay Summit. Come watch their report, including exclusive footage behind the scenes, photos of the Press, Parade and Championship costumes for all the competing countries! You can also meet one of the WCS organisers.

Are you coming down with Pokémon fever? Well we have the medicne for you! Our special guest Rica Matsumoto will be performing live songs from Pokémon, and voice act the voice of Satoshi (Ash Ketchum). If you're a pokéfan this is totally for you!

An exclusive screening of the World Cosplay Summit Championship 2010 from Nagoya, Japan. See the performance from the 15 competing countries, and the announcement of the 2010 World Champion. Will Australia take the title this year?
Duel Artist is a mad rush between artists of the highest calibre, our champions and also each other to see who can come up with the best art within the set time frame. Watch as it unfolds live, with artwork displayed as it is created on the Main Stage - a three way battle for artistic supremacy.
In 2010, who will be crowned the champions? Reputations will be at stake, fame to be gained. Find out who will win at the Animania Festival Weekend!
Entering the Duel Artist Challenge
So, you think you're pretty hot stuff, eh? Do you think you have what it takes to go up against our Supreme Duel Artists?
For those budding artists wanting to be a challenger, you can either pre-register or sign up on the day of the event. 6 Challengers will be selected.
If you would like to participate in the event please speak to Staff in the Art Area. They will conduct you through a small trial and see if you've got what it takes to take on the reigning Champions. You will need to be able to draw under pressure, draw fast yet still make a great artwork and enjoying long walks by the beach wouldn't hurt either. Think you've got what it takes? Then swing by the Art Area and speak to our volunteers at the Festival!
The Speed AMV competition is back again, ready and waiting for all challengers to show their mad editing skillz!
Anime Music Videos (AMV), are a phenomenon that has grown rapidly with the ease of video editing suites for personal computers, are fan made music videos. These videos take visuals from an anime and set them to music. Quite often, these productions are highly professional both in their scope and execution.
Speed AMV takes the Anime Music Video concept and gives it a hyperactive DIY make over. Short, fast, and fun is the goal here. The result - one awesome ride of laughter, music and anime for all (or at least we hope so)!
If you think you might have an awesome concept, then why not enter the competition? The best entries will be screened on Animania Festival Weekend's stages. Be sure to check out our competitions page for more information about this competition.
Sydney Shinbukan Kendo & Sydney Iaido Club will be doing live demonstations on stage. There is definitely more to martial arts than flying high-kicks and high pitched screaming! Be sure to catch these demonstrations, you're bound to learn something new about martial arts and see some totally sweet moves!
Coming back for a re-match in 2010 Who Wants to be Over 9000? the anime, manga and video game quiz game that has toured all of Animania Festival's stops around the country. Now it's back to where it all started - the Sydney Weekend Festival, and it's ready to test your might!
Participants will be chosen from the audience, so don't be shy get all "the Price is Right" come on down and play the game!
We'll see a little bit of hip, hop, break, shake, krump and general
dance stylin' adding some flayva to Animania Festival. Classes will also be
