Ed Hoff is originally from Canada and has been an organizer for the World Cosplay Summit since its inception in 2003. He is currently perusing a doctoral degree at Nagoya University on Japanese pop culture, focusing on cosplay and its global spread. His discussion will look at the state of cosplay in Japan today and on how it is enjoyed in comparison to other countries. Ed will also touch upon the role of international cosplay events and the popularity of the dynamic subculture around the world.
