Unfortunately, Rydges Melbourne have stated that they are no longer able to accommodate the event and we have been unable to find a new home for the Melbourne event. Consequently, Animania Festival will not be having an event in Melbourne in 2012.
As a result, all WCS preselection rounds will be cancelled for this year, meaning that the WCS preliminary competition will be a single big competition taking place in Sydney on the weekend of the 22-23 September
Cosplayers wanting to take part in the Australian WCS preliminary competition will need to submit a portfolio. Cosplayers wanting to take part in the Australian WCS preliminary competition will need to abide by the 2012 Rules and Procedues and first submit an Expression of Interest, then a portfolio
